Soaring

The Lewiston Auburn Joint Charter Commission is responsible for drafting a charter which, if approved by the voters, will result in a unified government for what has long been one community.

First and foremost, our task is to listen.  We want to understand your concerns and to learn about the opportunities you see.

Our process will be methodical and thorough, and conclusions are a long way off.  It is our general feeling, though, that we have a unique opportunity to rethink how a community is organized and managed.

Indeed, why can’t we take a fresh look at our resources and build a new Auburn + Lewiston that becomes a model 21st century city.  If we can start with a clean slate, why can’t we innovate and become Maine’s most desirable place to live, learn, work, and play?

We invite your thoughts, and we invite your active participation.  Subscribe to (join) this site, and you’ll be kept up to date on everything we are doing.
